1937:  Well, Well, Well, Well, here it is the first day of 1937. I feel as though it’s going to be a big year for us.
 Slept late.
 Went to the Belpark(sp?) with Fred & Lil & Carter.
 Came home quite early & went to bed.
1940: Milt, Lloyd & I walked over to Mother’s this afternoon as Mr. S. & Ruth went out.
 Stayed for supper.
 Played 500 afterwards.
 Dad drove us home.
 Another New Year! Who knows what this one will bring? So far it has started out wonderfully. Milton has been promised a $400 a year raise so that’s a good start.

2013: I can only think of Wisconsin’s state motto today: Forward.
 Cold and rainy, some drops come down as soggy snowflakes, trying so hard…
